MEMBERSHIP NEWS......The new membership rate is $20.00 (more than 50% decrease!!).  
Starting in May 2013 the SCC will be accepting memberships with a simplified process.  
Sunshine Coast Cycling is a community based cycling club representing the interests of all cyclists.Although the club supports riders of all disciplines the main thrust of the group is supporting youth and competitive youth cycling. Youth racers must join the club and race for at least one season before being eligible to apply for sponsored status. Selection made at the end of each season for the following year.

Sunshine Coast Cycling members are passionate about cycling.  We encourage all members to participate in weekly rides, events, organized clinics and races.

The main focus of the club is youth. Our core team is always hard at work training. You will see more and more of them on the trails as we continue to build bases/endurance.

Holly Feniak Wins in her Worlds Debut, Leogang, Autstria !!

"Finally got to some internet connection! It's official, won the gold medal in Leogang, Austria, yesterday. I'm the 2012 female Junior World Champion!!!! Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have had such incredible support all year from my friends, family, and the CCA. Huge thanks to my sponsors. So stoked!!!!!"

"Holly Feniak, a young rider from Sunshine Coast in BC and racing at the first UCI World Championships in her first Women Junior season, showed she is a World Championships contender by posting the fastest time in her category. Feniak rode the course with a time of 4:07.362, a lead of 11s over the second fastest rider..."

Another huge congrats goes out to Gibson's rider Forrest Riesco who also competed at the worlds and came in a respectful 25th place.  Way to go Forest!

Thanks you to everyone who joined us this summer.  We had a lot of keen, muddy smiles.  It was lots of fun to be out in the local trails with a keen energetic group.
